NOSE: Intense and complex, with notes of honey, lychee, ripe citrus, tangerine and pineapple.
PALATE: Rich, noble aromas are released in the mouth. The wine is complex, well balanced between the sugars and acids. Honey and ripe citrus notes are detected. The wine leaves a long aftertaste.

VINIFICATION: This special wine is produced in leap years only and is dedicated to Vaneja’s birthday- the February 29th.
At the end of September, we cut short canes of Gewürztraminer with grapes and hung them over the cellar, where the grapes are slowly drying, losing water, concentrating sugar, acid and many minerals. On February 29, we crushed the Gewürztraminer grapes and producing a very concentrated must. The fermentation was then carried out for about 3 months at a controlled temperature.
Steyer Vaneja and food: Wine is the essence of nature, so we can enjoy it in a pleasant company, or it can be paired with special chocolate desserts and/or special matured cheeses with honey.
